How soon can I see you?

I am currently accepting new patients and generally can see people for their initial visit with in a month of contacting me.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Harvard Pilgrim.

Billing and Fees

Initial consultations are $250 and take between an hour to an hour and a half.


Medication management visits are $150 for about 30 minutes


I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, Paypal, as well as the usual checks or cash.  Payment is expected in full at the time of service.


I can provide monthly itemized statements ("super bills") suitable for insurance reimbursement, and I will supply additional paperwork or documentation to assist you in working with your health plan. However, you are financially responsible for all services provided.


Please provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. You will be charged for same-day cancellations or failure to show for your appointment.

How do I get reimbursed by my insurance?

I can provide monthly itemized statements ("super bills") suitable for insurance reimbursement, and I will supply additional paperwork or documentation to assist you in working with your health plan. However, you are financially responsible for all services provided.


Some questions you could ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health coverage?

  • If so, what percentage is covered?

  • Do I have a deductible? What is it and how much of it have I met?

  • What is the co-pay for a session if I see an out-of-network provider?

  • How do I submit a request for reimbursement? 

  • What is the reimbursement for CPT codes 90792 and 99213?

Where are you located?

I am located at Strong Roots Counseling Center on 1387 Washington Street, West Newton, MA, 02465. Strong Roots is on the second floor and there is a small waiting room in front of my office to the left of the stairs. Across the hallway there is a larger waiting room with coffee/tea/water. Please sit in either and make yourself comfortable, I will come get you for our session.

Is there parking?

  • There are some limited free spots available on Elm Street (1-hour) and Webster Street (2-hour).

  • There are lots of metered spots on Washington and Elm Street (1 and 2-hour) and Cherry St/Elm Street Lot (3-hour). There is also the Washington Street commuter lot and you pay with the T’s app.

  • Parking is quarters only- unless the spot is a free one!- or you can use the passport parking app

  • For appointments 6pm or later you can park behind our building in the staff parking area. The cross street is Border street.

Can I take public transportation?

The West Newton commuter rail stop on the Framingham/Worcester line and buses (553/554) are right in front.
